Automatic rent collection and tax-ready reports — without the Venmo requests, manual transfers, and year-end scramble.
THE TENANT EXPERIENCE
Your tenant gets a link. They tap once, connect their bank, and autopay is set up. No app. No account. No friction.
The Problem
You own a rental property, not a second job. Managing rent, tracking payments, and sorting out taxes should take minutes a month — most landlords are spending a lot more than that.
How It Works
Enter your property details and your tenant's name and phone number. Takes about two minutes.
Ledge texts your tenant a payment link. They click it once, link their bank account, and autopay is set up permanently. No app download. No account needed. Rent just arrives on the date you set.
Every payment is automatically logged and organized by property. When tax season hits, your year-end income summary is ready to download and hand to your accountant. One file. Done.
Early Conversations
Before writing a line of code, we talked to landlords across Colorado about how they manage today. These aren't polished endorsements — they're honest conversations.
“Finding a contract online the first time was a nightmare. I eventually found one I trusted but it took hours — and I still wasn't sure it was right for my state.”
“I use Zelle and it mostly works, but I've had more than a few awkward conversations about late rent that I wish I could just automate away.”
“I keep everything in QuickBooks but it's overkill for one property. I don't need accounting software — I just need to know what came in and what went out.”

Why We Built This
I'm Carson. I built Ledge based on my experiences renting from smaller landlords, most of whom were figuring it out on the fly.
Most tools out there are built for property management companies and large-scale landlords. Everyone else gets left behind — which makes for a messy experience on both sides of the lease.
Ledge is designed for independent landlords who just want rent to show up and taxes to be simple. Tenants don't have to remember to pay. Landlords don't have to dig through Venmo looking for receipts in February. It's the tool I wish my landlords had been using when I was renting.
Ledge is just getting started. We welcome feedback — if you're interested, hop on the waitlist and I'll be in touch.
Common Questions
No. Your tenant gets a text with a payment link, clicks it, links their bank account, and autopay is set up. No app download, no account creation, no login. Most tenants are done in under two minutes.
You set the amount and due date. Your tenant clicks a link and connects their bank account once. Rent is collected automatically every month and deposited directly to your bank account. Late fees apply themselves if you want them to — you set the rules once and forget it.
Yes. Tenants can choose to initiate each payment manually through their Ledge payment portal instead of setting up autopay. Either way, every payment is logged automatically and you get notified. You can also manually mark a payment as received if your tenant pays outside Ledge — by cash, check, or Zelle — and it will appear in your payment history and year-end report.
Yes — your subscription covers the tenancy, not just the payment method. Ledge gives you automated reminders, payment tracking, records, and a year-end tax report regardless of how your tenant pays. You can manually log any payment made outside Ledge — cash, check, or Zelle — and it will appear in your payment history and tax report.
That's exactly who we built this for. Ledge is $9/month for one property. If you manage more, the flat monthly fee covers your whole portfolio — $19/month for 2-3 properties, $29/month for 4-5. Your subscription starts when your lease does.
Not at all. You can use Ledge for one property and manage others however you like. Some landlords start with a new tenant and expand from there. Add more whenever it makes sense.
Yes. Payments are processed through Stripe, the same infrastructure used by millions of businesses worldwide. We never store bank details directly — Stripe handles all of that.
It's yours. You can export your payment history and records anytime. We don't hold your data hostage.
If you can send a text message, you can set up Ledge. Most landlords are fully up and running in under 10 minutes. If you get stuck, we actually respond to support messages.
